Our final night in Siem Reap...

After three days of touring the temples of Angkor, we finally had the chance to enjoy our hotel and get a little relaxation. We had a chat with one of the hotel staff and he said originally, the hotel was only just the restaurant with a pool at the roofdeck. Fact is that the hotel rooms we are staying in now are just an addition. That probably explains why the rooms look relatively new and facilities are up-to-date.

Some pictures from the roofdeck pool:

The garden in the pool reflects the rooms' design, the faces of Bayon. (Remember Day 1 in the temples? It was the first temple we visited.)

We just lounged by the poolside and waited for the sun to set...

Sunsets in Siem Reap are beautiful, but sunsets in Manila, in our opinion, are more breathtaking!!! We promised to make it a point to visit Roxas Blvd. once we get home to enjoy the beautiful sunset along Manila Bay.

We thought we'd have a last eat of our usual SR meals -- spring rolls and the Khmer Amok. We surely will miss these...

And finally, some night shots from the famous Pub Street in Siem Reap, which is always filled with tourists having a cold beer after a long, hot day of temple-hopping:

We went back to the hotel and took more pictures...

One is of the intricate bas-reliefs (actually a molded copy) outside of our room:

The hotel's restaurant and lounge:

And we went back to the pool to take some more shots, and talked the night away, pondering about our Angkor experience. Haven't left Siem Reap yet but already missing the "Kingdom of Wonder"...

The action along Sivatha Road, SR's main thoroughfare:

:) goodnight!
