Terrasse des Elephants Hotel

The hotel was about 7km away from the airport. It was a big relief to be able to check in earlier since we were so tired from the flight. It was very hot and humid.

We are staying at the Terrasse des Elephants hotel, one of the best and newest hotels in Siem Reap. It prides itself on its intricate designs based on one of the Angkor Monuments, its namesake Terrace of the Elephants in Central Angkor Thom. We can say that this is another one of the most beautiful hotels we’ve ever stayed in. The room was exquisite. This hotel is definitely a splurge on this trip.

We loved the giant face monument inside... YES INSIDE THE ROOM!

Fresh and beautiful lotus flowers floating...

Separate toilet and an open rainfall-type shower...

The room also has a couch and a luxurious bed, with a neat mosquito net.

This was what we had for lunch in the hotel restaurant downstairs:

I had a piƱacolada and D had a can of Angkor beer...

Traditional Khmer Chicken Curry with Fresh Coconut Milk - DELISHHHHH

Going for a nap now...
