I was sad to leave KL without trying the Kenko fish spa, but was surprised to see fish spas here in every corner! There are little fish and bigger ones which are quite scary.. They are said to eat away the dry skin on your feet making them softer and less calloused. I don't think we will do this anymore since we'll be on our feet for days to come. And in walking long distances, thicker skin on your feet would be your best friend to be able to avoid chafing and cuts! These are not our legs/feet:
A visit to Siem Reap wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Angkor Night Market, one of the shopping areas in town:
We stopped to buy a "krama" or head scarf which is what everyone here is wearing to protect from the wind and sun during the days we go temple-hopping. A woman at work on her loom:
This is Pub street... Where everyone eats, drinks and relaxes after a tiring day of temple-hopping:
Red Piano is the place where Angelina Joelie and her staff went to during the shooting of Tomb Raider...
Paintings of Angkor and surrounding temples and other SR facades can be found at every corner...
Our dinner at Khmer Kitchen restaurant --
fresh spring rolls
authentic khmer food, fish AMOK:
and yummy khmer curry
we bought these cute macarons at blue pumpkin, a notable restaurant/ice cream chain in SR
